This week, Pastor Bill helped us understand both the uniqueness of the Biblical creation story and a small glimpse of the grace of our existence in light of God’s character, as well as the role we play in glorifying Him.  He set the backdrop that God’s creation of us was not out of need – God was and always is completely self-sufficient and whole.

Remember this day and every day,

that YOU are so adored by God that you were more important to God than saving

His Son, whom He LOVES, from the pain of torture and death, death on a cross.

This week’s sermon in the Unshakeable message series offered a picture of the reality of the intentionality with which Satan seeks to destroy us.  Pastor Warren used 1 Peter 5:8-9 to show the seriousness of the threat this represents, as well as the very real tools we can use to fight against “Lyin’ Lucifer”.

This week Pastor Bill continued his series of "Unshakeable" gleaned from I Peter, this week Using I Peter 5:5-9. The challenge for each of us as followers of Christ is to consistently put on humility, rather than pride, in all circumstances.

Pastor Bill preaches that followers of Christ must arm themselves because we are at war. God has given every Christ-follower instructions and Pastor Bill shares outlines what we are to do to arm ourselves for victory.

This week at Allen, Pastor Bill took the morning to encourage us to both face our sin and embrace the grace God provides. Pulling from Luke 15:1-2,11-32 and the story of the prodigal son, he pointed us to the path home - to the place where we deal with our sin in order to be in relationship with God.

This week's sermon in the Unshakeable message series (from 1 Peter) provided us with practical steps on how to live in harmony - even with those who offend us. Pastor Bill used 1 Peter 3:8-15 to outline seven keys to pursuing peace, even in rocky relationships.

This week's sermon in the Unshakeable message series focused on the Biblical charge to Christians to respect EVERYONE.  Pastor Bill used 1 Peter 2:11-25 as a basis to challenge our attitudes and words towards those in authority.
