It is an interesting dichotomy of how good the NWA can be and how they can become their own worst enemy. The Alliance Guys collectively enjoyed the Pay Per View: When Our Shadows Fall, for various different reasons. All in all, we collectively were happy with our purchase. However, none of us were happy with Tuesday's NWA POWERRR Episode 30.
Tune in to hear Jay Cal, DKM, and former NWA World Jr. Heavyweight Champion Kevin Frazier recap the positives and negatives of When Our Shadows Fall and NWA POWERRR Episode 30.
The NWA might have just been able to renew my interest. Over the past twelve weeks, nonsensical match-making, convoluted match stipulations, and a number of inconsistent storytelling had left my affinity for the brand a little hallow. I was beginning to wonder if I had become too cynical about pro-wrestling. If maybe I had just lost my flavor for the NWA. I still believe asking a fan to order a pay-per-view without so much as a match listed is a poor business decision. I think you're asking for a lot when you wait until the last week to deliver a fully booked wrestling event. But somehow the NWA pulled off a pretty good pay-per-view. I have criticisms. I didn't like some of the ways the matches were presented. I did feel like some matches were made just to show off new additions to the roster. But ultimately, I was happy with the PPV. And if you'd like to hear what I thought, please listen.
It is a little hard for me to admit this, but I think the NWA has made a hard right turn. For the past twelve weeks, the National Wrestling Alliance was beginning to wain in my interests. Between nonsensical booking, odd pairings, and just a lack
News coming out of Fightful Wrestling is that the former World Women's Champion will be making her return to the NWA. Jazz recently retired from in ring competition with Impact Wrestling. She was the tag team partner for Jordynne Grace. Grace and Jazz lost in the Semi-Finals for the Impact Knockouts Tag Titles Tournament. They would later challenge Fire N Flava for the titles. Her last official match for Impact wrestling was against Deonna Purrazzo in a Title vs. Career Match at Hardcore Justice 2021. Jazz will be taking on a non-wrestling role as an agent for the women's division, similarly to Homicide's role with the company.
