Almost 20: a journey to self

I’ve looked under my bed, under my table and refreshed my bank app multiple times, I still haven’t found my 15k. SIWES is an internship scheme in Nigeria that mandates students in their penultimate year to go outside the campus and get real-world experience related to their course of study. The cherry on top of this program is that at the end of it, you get 15 thousand naira to compensate whatever expenses you must have spent. 10 months after the program, I’m still left wondering, where the hell is my 15k??

I thought getting braces was going to be an easy Journey, I really did, but two upper and lower right extractions in followed by painful swallowing and a swollen cheek and I’m starting to understand that beauty really is pain.
