This week we literally dive into the largest alpine lake in North America, Lake Tahoe. While this beautiful location has become a major vacation destination over the years with its crystal blue waters and breathtaking mountain scenery, many seem to forget that just below the surface 10,000 years of mysteries have been piling up. From anceint water spirits to forests of "cement shoe" victims and even its very own lake monster, Lake Tahoe certainly holds its secrets well.

We start the episode by going over lake Tahoe's creation and those who called it home, long before lumber men and prospectors settled the area. We ask the question if the infamous water spirits and Cave Rock could be behind the emergence of Tessie, the lake monster of Lake Tahoe and whether the viel beneath surface will always reamin thin.

This week on Almost Canon we talk about the Bearwalker. Similar to the better known Skinwalker, the Bearwalker is a type of paranormal or supernatural ability used by certain shamen and medicine men of Siberia and North America.It allows them to not only shapeshift into a bear but to take on aspects of a bear as well as use the spirit of a bear to perform individual tasks.

We also look at the infamous 'berserker', which seem to share more than a few aspects of bearwalking and local legends of the 'bulletproof bear' which could actually be modern bearwalker encounters.

In remembrance of Sam Neill, the actor who played Dr. Alan Grant in Spielberg's 1993 masterpiece Jurassic Park, I have gone ahead and mashed together two of my favorite dinosaur cryptid episodes. These episode includes a wide range of dinosaur encounters from not only the Congo but from around the world as well.

We start by recounting an incredible encounter had to Ivan T. Sanderson while cannoing down a African river to a story from the Bible, where the dragon stained by Daniel was actual a dinosaur, captured by the Babalonians during their travels across Africa.

On this 4th of July episode of Almost Canon's Real to Reel, we prepare for an all out invasion in the 1996 blockbuster Independence Day.
