Ted is excited as he unveils his podcast's new logo and mission. He returns to his journalism roots and becomes a voice with an edge for Bonners Ferry. He plans to tackle local and national issues more deeply while keeping his sense of humor. Interviews will often be featured, and he will also comment on current events, life, politics, sports, and faith.

A new sheriff is in town, and some think he stumbled out of the gate. He dismissed the previous undersheriff, who claims he was assured of being retained until he wasn't. It is not a good look for the young and, some say, inexperienced new sheriff.

The local school board seems to have a motto of "try, try, again." They will try again in May to get its Maintenance and Operations Levy passed despite being repeatedly voted down by the voters over the past few years. A significant 54% just voted against it in November. The superintendent warns that the consequences of the levy not passing this time could be damaging to the schools and community.

Meanwhile, the Bonners Ferry boys' basketball team continues to set records. It has won its 29th straight game and is the No. 1 ranked team in Idaho.

The girls' team is improving, and it is approaching post-season play.

Can the Kansas City Chiefs win a third straight Super Bowl? Who knows? Who cares? Ted does, and it is his podcast!

Mark explains that the political class of California thinks all dam projects are damn projects.

The $64 question is how environmental impact beliefs will impact the rebuilding efforts.

The governor's office has called new reports revealing multiple million-dollar cuts in the state budget affecting fire prevention ridiculous lies.

Homeless people are making small fires to cook food, and METH may have started the fires. Or, fireworks from the new year may have smoldered and reignited. But not an illegal immigrant caught setting fires with a flame thrower.

Somehow, Ted brings into the conversation the old TV show Hee Haw. Whatever!

The two then talk about comedian and podcaster Adam Carolla and his experiences during the fire, which leads to his old show with Jimmy Kimmel, The Man Show. Ted remembers fondly a certain segment of that show.

Ted finally does his Christmas Podcast...after Christmas! Sounds just like Ted.

Why the delay? Ted got sick.

But now he is better and hitting on all cylinders. Ted gets a new pickup truck for Christmas, and Joy receives boxing lessons. Should Ted be worried?

Joy also joins Ted to reminisce about their childhood Christmas. What a study of contrasts—from wanting a giraffe to carrying home the school's Christmas Tree.

Terry spends Christmas with Ted and Joy and eats all the pizza but loses in ping pong!

On today's show, Special Olympics coach John Beck (no wimp here!) comes on the show to talk about the Special Olympics in general and this weekend's polar plunge. BRRRR!

John is a retired physical education teacher and long-time resident of Bonners Ferry. He devotes countless hours throughout the year to coaching these special athletes and preparing them for a wide variety of sporting events and games.

And, yes, John will plunge into the icy water. About 20 other fearless supporters of the Special Olympics will join him.

Many people from the police, sheriff, and fire departments will be on hand to ensure everyone is safe, warm, and dry at the end of the day.

Ted's guest on this podcast is Justus of Clayfield.org. He is an independent journalist, videographer, author, poet, and warrior for free speech.

And Ted wants to emphasize the word INDEPENDENT!

Ted's conversation with Justus takes many twists and turns and is full of surprises.

Justus offers many insights and opinions, some of which might make you uncomfortable. But he is fearless in his desire to ask questions and seek answers.

In Justus's opinion, people are losing their voice. It has been taken from them, and he wants to help them regain it.

But he believes things are changing. People are beginning to realize they all have something they can do to make a difference. They are waking up.

In many ways, the fight is between Individualism and Socialism. While people in North Idaho are firm believers in individual freedom, he is concerned many are guilty of apathy and have a 'hiding' mindset.

His biggest goal as a journalist is to give people information so they can choose and think how they want to believe. People must not accept being told how or what to think.

And thus his motto - life is a choice! Make an informed choice.

To illustrate his point concerning free speech, Justus intentionally uses a word about halfway through the podcast that some might find offensive.

So buckle-up!

Thursday is Thanksgiving, and Ted is so excited. Also known as Turkey Day, Football Day, Loosen the Belt Day, or Getting Stuffed Day, Thanksgiving Day is always a special day for Ted.

Once again, Bonners Ferry and Boundary County locals will be treated to a free Thanksgiving dinner at 3 Mile Cafe. This tradition has been going on for many years and will continue this year. The dinner includes all the fixings: turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, vegetables, rolls, pie, and a drink—all free! Often, up to 300 people take advantage of this yearly treat.

3 Mile manager Amber and her right-hand man Scott visit Ted about the free dinner. They will also discuss the latest changes at the 3 Mile Cafe and Convenience Store,,,and there are many!
