The program focuses on building real-world skills like communication, teamwork, financial literacy, and confidence, all while giving students the opportunity to create and develop their own business ideas.

Throughout the camp, participants will work alongside local business leaders, mentors, and community members as they build a business plan step by step. The experience wraps up with a public pop-up event during Sterling’s Chalk the Walk on July 11 at the Grandon Civic Center, where students will showcase their businesses to the community.

This program is a collaborative effort between the Whiteside Area Career Center, the Illinois Small Business Development Center at Sauk Valley Community College, and the University of Illinois Extension 4-H program, all working together to inspire the next generation of entrepreneurs and leaders.
