Hello, dear listeners! Alpesh Patel here, bringing you another weekly stock market update. With everything happening in the world, you'd think the stock market would be all over the place. But here we are, diving into the details.
P/E Growth Ratios: Energy and financials remain the staples. Interestingly, some banks are undervalued based on share price and profits per share. On the healthcare front, both Johnson & Johnson and Pfizer are the ones to watch. We also see some packaging companies and farming sectors in the green, possibly a result of recent price falls.
Research and Analysis: Whenever I discuss stocks, remember, I don't merely look at charts. I delve into valuations, revenue and earnings growth, dividends, return on capital, momentum, and much more. I analyse around 10,000 companies, as any member of my Grand Investments program knows.
Performance Recap: The past week has seen a lot of green, particularly in oil and gas. Considering the situation in the Middle East, elevated oil prices likely mean better profitability for these sectors. They might just be the ones to watch in the coming months.
Yearly Performance: We're holding at 38% up, with a peak at 44%. The S&P is 133% up, peaking around 19-20%. Those in the GRE Investments program have had a great start, with some doubling their money thanks to a NASDAQ-heavy portfolio.
Market Trends: Even with the upward movement in the S&P, we're in a downward trend. We need to be cautious. If you're thinking of making a bet on bullish markets in this environment, it's a tough call. It's about strategy and patience.
Specific Stock Highlights:
Apple: I'd hold my existing holdings. Why? Because of the moving average and the monthly MACD. Analysts predict a 12% rise from the current price.
Alphabet, Amazon, and Cisco: I'd also apply the Apple strategy here. Look for similarities and patterns.
Nvidia: It's overbought, but if support holds, that's great. Analysts expect a 47% rise.
Tesla: Simply apply the Apple strategy.
Meta: There's a visible limit to the upside gains, but it's too early to be concerned.
ServiceNow: Another one for the Apple strategy, considering its seasonality and analyst perspectives. To wrap up, listeners, always stay informed and strategic. If you're not on my Grand Investments program yet, check out alpeshpatel.com for more.
