Credibility is a quality that most of the companies and groups will take into consideration for appraisal in their new employee's interview phase or promotion phase. It is the quality in someone of being convincing or believable. However, if we look at our daily lives, whether it is with our family, friends or colleagues in work place, do we have that credibility? Do we have integrity in our lives?  Continuing the topic, in this week's sermon titled "Matters of the Heart - Part 3", Ps. Heath Flanagan invites us to search our heart, whether we already lived our lives with integrity in front of God and others. There are three serious matters that will be outlined in the sermon, they are: Swearing Falsely, Speaking Foolishly and Serving Faithfully.  Often, in order to achieve the goals that we have, we may use promises as a way to please other, and we may not think of those promises seriously. And it might happen in our relationship with God, as we just think of Him as deal making God. From this day onward, let us all learn to live in integrity, surrender our lives to Him and let Him search our heart to reveal who we are in front of Him. Our God always looks, searches and seeks deeply into our hearts, even when our outer appearance seems perfectly fine and we think we can hide our deepest desires from others, but we cannot hide it from God.  Continuing the topic, in this week's sermon titled "Matters of the Heart - Part 2", Ps. There are three outlines in the sermon that we will listen together, they are: A Look, A Pluck and A Break.  Starting from early age, we are being taught in our education system to behave in right manners and to act prudently. However, can we always control ourselves to behave that way? Have we ever failed in doing so? In everyday situation, we often try to take initiative in making sure that everything will be under control or according to our plan. It is a great thing to do as God also instructs us to plan ahead, estimate the cost before taking action. However, we need to be careful not to be entrapped with what we called self-righteousness, thinking that we are the one in control over everything and forgetting the source of everything, our God.  In continuation of Sermon on the Mount Series, Ps. “You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men.

“You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.

Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake,

For theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake. Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

The Holy Spirit Promised

And being assembled together with them, He commanded them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the Promise of the Father, “which,” He said, “you have heard from Me; for John truly baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.”
