It's not enough to only meet online. One of the most essential practices of the Alpha Pack has been meeting in person to discuss even the tiniest details about each others' lives.

During this episode, The Pack discusses why meeting face-to-face and having hours to be completely vulnerable with each other is an integral part of growing as a pack. Unlike  other members of the Alpha Pack, Jay Hawkins was seemingly born an alpha. No embarrassing high school phases were necessary for Jay to recognize that he could control the outcome of his circumstances.

In particular, Jay overviews how strong alpha leaders in his childhood helped him become the alpha he is today. Interestingly enough, these strong alpha leaders that influenced Jay weren’t necessarily in professions that you would expect alphas to be in – yet their mark on Jay’s life still pays dividends today. Get ready for some wild stories as Scott discusses how the seemingly least alpha group—a church choir—eventually lead to Scott’s “alpha awakening.” Scott recounts how certain boundaries that were supposedly off-limits weren't actually as taboo as they seemed if he approached them with confidence and charisma.

Daniel also gives his own perspective on Scott’s alpha story as Scott’s high school classmate. Not surprisingly, there was some jealousy among them; both tried to “out-alpha” the other to prove their worth (that is, before realizing the futility of it all). This was especially true when Scott came up with the most unlikely way to defeat Daniel during a high school competition! In this episode, Scott and The Pack help address questions such as: "How do self-imposed rules and limits affect your ability to be alpha?," "Why do some people not want to push boundaries?," and, "Should alphas compete to be the 'top dog' of the group?"

Despite the way things may look now, Daniel Steere wasn't always an alpha. In fact, Daniel's upbringing often communicated the message that being "nice" was the highest virtue, which stifled any of his alpha tendencies. It wasn't until Daniel reached college that he learned to embrace his alpha personality -- but not before going through some embarrassing phases in high school!

Learn how Daniel swung from the extremes of "nice non-alpha" to "knucklehead alpha" -- and how he eventually realized that neither extreme is healthy.
