Mulder and Scully head to California to further investigate a dog attack that resulted in the deaths of two merchant marines onboard a cargo ship from China. When the dog, thought to be extinct, Wanshang Dhole, goes missing, Mulder enlists the help of his online friend - a secluded canine expert named Karin Berquist. This episode was written by Jeffrey Bell and directed by Peter Markle.
