The traditions of the Prophet (s) are acts of the Prophet (s) that every Muslim is supposed to imitate and the entire Muslim ummah understands that they are to imitate the act of growing a beard, of performing salah, of performing ablution, of speaking a certain way, of consuming certain sweets etc. however Sufi Master Younus AlGohar reminds us that the Prophet (s) ascended to the Empyrean of God too, why isn’t this tradition of the Prophet (s) imitated, that of witnessing God? The Prophet (s) witnessed God and then said, ‘My thirst has not been quenched O Lord, further expand my knowledge’ - is this not a tradition of the Prophet (s)?
