In anticipation of her debut album, Couldn't Wait To Tell You, musical polymath @ohliveosun makes space for a one-on-one conversation with the creator of @alreadyRADIO, Rodney Blu.

The result of the conversation was a feature in Okayplayer that explored the singer’s origins, inspirations and aspirations, while adding context to her then yet-to-be-released debut album.

As her musical and creative profile ascends, with the help of cosigns from and works featuring industry titans like Erykah Badu and Earl Sweatshirt, Liv.e distances herself from high-profile allegiances, insisting that the quality and inspiration in her music is what turned an otherwise regular person into your favorite artist's favorite new artist.

And those who know are well-aware, Liv.e's talent and proficiency as an artist, musician and audio-visual storyteller dwarfs the hype that is the result of a feature or a mention on IG.

Her debut, Couldn't Wait To Tell You, has received overwhelmingly positive reviews, as publications are taken aback by the young artist's virtuosic first at-bat and rush to celebrate its adventurousness, hybridity and soul.

Listen here as she promises to deliver a meaningful, explorative album months before its release, at the beginning of the global pandemic and resulting national lockdown – and gets candid about who she is, what she does and what to expect from her now and moving forward.

Tune in for a one-on-one interview with Dallas, TX's own prodigal son of Hip-Hop and everything adjacent. You may know this man from his long and illustrious discography that includes classics of local and underground lore, “Finally Confident” “Time To Feed The Birds” Be Good & Do Well,” and “My Favorite Sweaters.” He’s also contributed his sonics to film and TV scores like the A24-produced Never Goin’ Back and Spike Lee’s She’s Gotta Have It Netflix-reimagining. Most recently, he lent his talents to the internet sensation Travis Bott, an artificially intelligent parody of Travis Scott, composed almost entirely the original artists’ lyrics fed to a machine. He is So-so topic or topic for short. I am Rodney Blu and this is our In House Interview.
