David Broido and I met at Comic Con, San Diego’s annual 4-day nerd fest David is a 70% disabled combat veteran who cosplays with his service dog. His alter ego is a character who looks to be transplanted straight from Fallout. The glowing gun, post apocalyptic gear, blinded white eye, and weaponized dog harness catch your eyes and hold them. You can usually find him surrounded by paparazzi at these types of conventions David agreed to give us a glimpse behind the spikes, distressed gear packs, and glowing weapons into the heart of why he loves what he does and who his alter ego is.
