Travel is wonderful unless you’re in a middle seat next to a slobby snorer like Stacy was en route to Boston for Grace’s grad school graduation from Northeastern. She has also found another litmus test to determine personality traits, whether you stop for ice cream on a road trip. Stacy’s guest, Here for Me creator and host, Nicole Christie, shares a twist on the weekly STACYISM and her own NICOLISM at the end of the show. They chat about the health and relationship crises that forced Nicole to realize she needed to be there for herself. Her podcast is a deeper exploration through candid conversation of themes such as obstacles and detours and the life that unfolds as a result. You can find Here for Me wherever you listen to podcasts or go to: HERE FOR ME.

In this program we discuss the advantages of restoring and repurposing existing structures; converting an abandoned warehouse into a custom home, and converting an existing home into an office. We also discusses how the time my guest spent practicing architecture in Japan influences the homes he designs.

My guest is Warren K. Lloyd AIA, LEED AP. Warren has been practicing architecture for 20+ years. He received a Masters of Architecture from the University of Washington in 1991. During his graduate work, he was a Monbusho scholar at Kobe University in Japan for 2 years.

Warren's personal interest in architecture has led him to seek innovative and sustainable uses of traditional wood construction in his projects located throughout the Intermountain West, the Pacific Northwest, and Japan. He worked in Seattle and Japan for several noted architects, including NBBJ, The Miller-Hull Partnership and Thomas L. Bosworth FAIA.

Warren was named a partner of Lloyd Architects in Salt Lake City in 1998, managing partner in 2000, and principal in 2001. Warren is the 2023 AIA CRAN National Chairman and Lloyd Architects was named 2022 Firm of the Year by AIA Utah.

In this episode, JDK tells a true story from history that offers the possibility of answering a resounding "NO" to those questions, and instead offers up a lesson we can all embrace as the best way to move forward in our own lives.

Spotlight With Laurie Hardie 05 - 07 - 2023 by Alternative Talk- 1150AM KKNW

This episode highlights anchor panel members Dr. Laura Tadd and Sue Rose Minahan together for the Planet Buzz subject, “Jupiter in Taurus”.

“Jupiter orbits the sun once a year and remains in the archetypal energy of Taurus from May 16, 2023 to May 25, 2024. Known for excess in every dimension, gigantic Jupiter expands whatever consciousness it touches with any astrological aspect.” said Sue Minahan, founder, and host of the weekly show. “Taurus brings spirit into matter focusing on grounded possibilities. The archetype involves resources both personal and material, including finances to art and music. A time manifest dreams aligned to your values giving purpose and meaning.”

“Most interestingly, Jupiter in fixed Taurus will present an action-oriented tension with transmutative dwarf planet Pluto still at 0° Aquarius in fixed air. What might this mean for our evolving consciousness?”
