There was no attack on democracy because the election process for president does not allow for democracy. Democracy does not exist. If anyone attacked democracy it was the Constitution’s framers. They denied the masses democracy 246 years ago.

A discussion on national identity is needed in the US Virgin Islands if the territory is to play a significant role in the Caribbean.  Given the political and cultural shifts in the United States, it is time that the Virgin Islands goes its own way.
