God directs AND we choose. It is both at the same time and nobody down here on the ground has ever sufficiently explained Why or How, it is both!

We face the same choices that people have faced throughout the ages.

When a sinner chooses God, it is evidence of the grace of God at work on a heart that He has chosen, for His reasons that we do not know.

Paul would go to Hell…accursed… cut-off… to save his people. Fortunately for Paul, that was not possible for him. But that actually IS the deal God made through Jesus.

Jesus died for all of we "people of God" a description of 'How' comes from Paul's Letter to the Colossians, chapter 1.

God promised GREAT things to the Jewish people. Unconditional promises, that won't be taken back.

Lots can happen to people waiting on God's Promise.

Paul, who knows what promises God made to both he and all his fellow descendants of Abraham & Sarah…Paul sees them denying the Christ, their Messiah.

As we move on to this next chapter, we must be alert to the fact that the Apostle Paul has just shared a clear description of the doctrine of election!

And he continues with this unique phrase: "I am speaking the truth in Christ - I am not lying..."

These aren't the words of some 'politician' trying to get on the bandwagon
