When someone cancels an appointment in your clinic, assume they just had a scheduling conflict. Don’t go into it thinking they are having buyer’s remorse. When someone no shows, don’t take it personally. Things like this happen to the best of us.
Try to put yourself in the other person’s shoes. Try to look at it from their perspective. Before you respond, sit for a minute and think about the possible reasons something happened.
Assume the other person has the best intentions.
