This 4th day of May calls us to the celebration of the feast day of St. Monica, for in her we see the power of the grace of God at work in her holy life and fervent prayer, which brought about the salvation of her husband, her mother-in-law, and her son, Augustine, who would become one of the great Theologians in the West.
