October 2009, Missouri. 9 year old Elizabeth Olten didn't return home from her neighbour’s house where she was playing with friends, 6 year old Emma and 15 year old Alyssa. Her frantic mother Patti arrives at her neighbour’s in search of her daughter, but is told that she left at 6pm to make the 2 minute walk to her home 4 doors away. An extensive search of the area ensues, with both Emma and Alyssa being questioned by local Sheriff and FBI agents. Evidence would lead investigators to a sinister discovery that went way beyond the realms of teenage angst.
