In this message, Elder Mills reminds us that our number one goal as believers should be to please God.
Pleasing God is more than words — it is our actions, attitudes, and the condition of our hearts. What we take in, what we meditate on, and what we allow into our spirit will eventually come out of our mouths. Scripture reminds us that as a man thinks, so is he.
Are we guarding our spirit?
Are we mindful of what we meditate on?
Are our thoughts and words acceptable in His sight?
When we are weak, we must admit it and ask God for help. When outside noise tries to interrupt our meditation, we must intentionally seek His voice. Everything we face has already been addressed in the Word of God — nothing is new to Him.
Ask yourself daily:
“Lord, am I pleasing You?”
Main Scripture: Psalms 19:14
Other Scriptures Mentioned: Leviticus 1:3-10, 22:17-25; 1 Peter 1:3-5, 18-19; Proverbs 23:7
