Chelsea Hanson, co-owner of the Angus Beef direct sales farm in Kilkenny made Gordy's mouth water with some tips on preparing the perfect steak.

Jane Bartho, recently became the President for the Northfield Area Chamber of Commerce and Tourism. Bartho held the position on an interim basis and has been with the Northfield Chamber for a number of years. She stopped by Professional Pride Realty in Northfield for our bi-monthly visit.

Dustin Dienst, Faribault Fire Chief says there has been a growth of fires started by lithium ion batteries. He shares some tips for proper care of these batteries saying when used as designed they are very safe.

Dave Nichols, Curator of Rice County Historical Society joined us at the Steele County Free Fair to talk about the dedication and discuss the incredible history of the brewery which started in Faribault in 1856. We also went over happenings at the SCFF on Day Care Day.

AM Minnesota visits with the Sheriff about security at the fair and the use of the command center we broadcast from. We also talked with the people in charge of the commercial exhibits with just under 300 at this year's fair.

Wayne Steele, Vice-President of SCFF Board and Marketing Director goes over most of the activity at this year's event. The fair officially opens at 5pm Tuesday, August 16, 2022. It is Minnesota's largest county fair. We go over new foods, new entertainment and so much more.

Gordy rolls through the fairgrounds in search for more interesting people to talk with about the happenings at the fair. The FFA Children's Barnyard brought with it a conversation with the new FFA Advisor at Kenyon-Wanamingo High School. She's from Green Bay, Wisconsin and loves the Goodhue County Minnesota area.

Gordy roams the Goodhue County Fairgrounds visiting with some of the people giving demonstrations to day care kids. Goodhue County Mounted Posse members were there with a horse named Lincoln (kinda looked like Abe). The Sheriff's Office Dive and Rescue team was also there.

Chuck Schwartau, Goodhue County Fair Secretary says this is his final year working in a leadership position with the Goodhue County Fair. For most of his years on Earth Schwartau has been part of a number of county fairs.
