Georgia's Charlie Condon and Texas A&M's Troy Wansing incapsulate episode 49. Both prospects share their secret to success which might come as a surprise. Condon received one offer to play division 1 baseball and that was to Georgia, for Wansing, he came to school with no expectations. Both carved different paths and came to the conclusion that being yourself and being confident in who you are is the true key to success. There's a ton of learning in this episode. Virginia pitcher Jay Woolfolk and Oklahoma State two-way star Carson Benge make up a monster episode of Amateur Hour. Woolfolk, former Virginia quarterback, committed to play baseball full time for the Hoos and has already seen big improvements in his mechanics and game. Benge is a speedy, athletic two-way player for the Cowboys who loves both sides of the baseball. Both are expected to be top draft picks this summer in the Major League Baseball draft. College World Series Champion pitcher Thatcher Hurd joins Amateur hour to kick off the 2024 season. He shares more about his friendship with teammate Paul Skenes and lessons he learned from his season at UCLA. Northeastern's Mike Sirota's embraced his path and risen up draft boards across college baseball because of his patience. Both could hear their names called early in this summer's 2024 draft. Cal catcher Caleb Lomavita and Northwest Florida State's Kendrey Maduro round out our 2023 fall. Both from islands, Lomavita from Hawaii and Maduro from Aruba, they're proud to represent their home and their families through college baseball. NC State's Catcher Jacob Cozart and Texas A&M transfer Braden Montgomery join Amateur Hour. Cozart, who comes from a rich baseball background, dives deep into his catching technique and how his family's shaped him on and off the field. Montgomery, who transferred after two seasons at Stanford, shared his family's excitement as he's closer to him and why he's buying into the Aggie's program to help grow his own game. Travis Bazzana continues to bet on himself and it's paying off. He joins Amateur Hour this week along with Iowa pitcher Brody Brecht. Brecht fully committed to only play baseball this season at Iowa instead of both football and baseball. Both could be the number one overall pick in the 2024 draft and have taken very different paths to get there.
