Entrepreneurship is a blessing and a curse. For so many of us who are bitten, we never get it out of our systems. Mike Savage is one such case. He’s a serial entrepreneur and badass business coach who has spent years building, growing, selling, and starting over with business after business.
He now helps up and coming entrepreneurs and business owners to reach the next level in their own businesses, no matter which level that is. His passion is to help entrepreneurs who are driven, make big, bold steps forward.
It all started, sadly, after his father passed away. His dad owned a pharmacy and rather than watch her husband’s life’s work fall away, Mike’s mom took up the reins and kept the business going. Despite having lost her husband, mom and aunt all in a short period of time, she kept going.
After getting his degree in engineering, it didn’t take him long to realize the corporate world wasn’t for him. He really checked out after developing a tool to help people read while working out on exercise machines that took off.
That was the first of many businesses that he grew to multiple seven-figures and now he’s ready to help you do the same. Listen in as he shares his story and why he’s so passionate about helping entrepreneurs.

If you’ve been following me for any amount of time, you know that I’m not big into TV. If I have free time, then I’m typically listening to podcasts, reading, or doing some other personal development activity.
A friend of mine recommended that I watch Ted Lasso earlier this year and since the family was going on vacation, I decided to give it a try. Imagine my surprise when before I knew it, I’d binged 10hrs of the show.
What struck me the most were the number of amazing lessons in leadership that the show tackled. I loved their take on what it takes to be a great leader, even when you don’t necessarily have experience in the field.
Real quick, the four lessons are:
Listen in to hear all of my insights on the lessons in leadership I learned from Ted Lasso. Have you watched? What did you learn?

Are you listening to what is being said about you, your product or service, and your brand? Are you aware of what your market is truly looking for and how you can provide a solution? If not, you’re leaving money on the table. Join me as I share my insights and thoughts and why we all need to spend more time practicing social listening.
First things first, what is social listening? According to Hootsuite, social listening is tracking social media platforms for mentions and conversations related to your brand, then analyzing them for insights to discover opportunities to act.
I think that last part is what is most important. We need to know when and how to act. When you incorporate social listening into your strategy, you’ll have the data you need to back up your decisions.
Listen as I share how you should approach what to listen for, how to incorporate social listening into your market research strategy, and which tools I think may be best to start with on this journey.
As you know, I believe strongly that we need to relearn the art of listening. Social listening is a new way to listen to the needs of the market and your customer. Are you listening?
In this episode:
[00:50] Welcome back to 10 to Win to learn about social listening.
[02:04] What is social listening?
[02:50] Learn about the benefits of social listening.
[03:41] Good social listening is about choosing the keywords that are important to you and your business.

When entrepreneurship is in your blood, you can’t help but see problems that need solutions. Jason Hill was raised by an entrepreneur and decided to use his knowledge in the financial services world. He is now helping entrepreneurs all over the nation by creating an app that allows people to get their questions answered by experts, 1:1.
As Jason was growing his financial services business he realized there were times that he needed the help of an expert, but just to ask one quick question. Think about it. How many times have you seen something happening in your business and just needed a bit of advice, not a whole coaching relationship?
Additionally, how amazing would it be to have access to true experts in their field? Imagine being able to be on a call with Mark Cuban or Jeff Bezos for a few minutes and paying a small sum of money to get in contact.
Now he’s not saying huge names are actually joining the app, but the goal is to allow people to connect and share knowledge in an organic way. Actually getting on a phone call, answering questions, and getting paid.
Jason is sharing his story as well as his hopes for the Owwll app. He is revolutionizing the way we share our knowledge with each other and elevating the world of entrepreneurship.
Are you going to join Owwll?

A few weeks ago, as of the time of this recording, I unexpectedly lost a good friend. He died of a heart attack leaving behind his wife and teenage daughter. This hit me hard, both for having lost a friend and as I considered what his daughter was going through after this traumatic experience, being a dad as well.
I had to ask myself, do I make each day count? Do you?
It’s not always easy, especially these days, to live with true intention. We have so much going on and so many distractions that days fly by without us really understanding what took up our time.
So I challenge you to make it a point to live with intention and make each day count. Here are some tips I’ve used in my own life and I hope they help you.
First, start with gratitude. Go beyond being grateful for your family, life, and health. Each day find something new that you’re grateful for. Next, build meaningful connections. It doesn’t matter how many connections you have if you never dig deeper and have real conversations with them.
This next one is truly for everyone. Stop being so busy all the time. We give ourselves busy work and fill our days with inane tasks. Don’t be afraid to have a short task list so that you can make it a point to live your life without working 24/7.
Lastly, remember to help one person every day. It can be something as small as a smile and a good morning for your barista or as big as picking up the check at a restaurant. You never know what someone in your life may be going through, so the smallest gesture can mean a ton.
So, friend, how are you going to make today count?
In this episode:
[01:04] A few weeks ago I unexpectedly lost a good friend which made me ask, do I make each day count?
[03:27] You have the ability to make your life and time count.
[04:00] One way you can make it count is to lead with gratitude.
[05:34] Next, you want to build meaningful connections.
[07:11] We need to stop being busy.

Have you ever met someone and realized, that’s your person? Gail Scott and Christina Massey were involved in the same business and when they met to work on a large event, they knew they’d found gold. Now they’re podcast hosts together and working to build a movement for women who find themselves in midlife wondering, what’s next?
Christina calls herself a serial entrepreneur and I’d say that’s a fair assessment. She’s currently at the helm of four businesses while also contributing to the Midlife Moxie Podcast and all that that entails. For her, mindset is a huge component of success and she loves helping other women overcome their blocks to find joy.

“There’s only one corner of the universe you can be certain of improving and that’s your own self.” - Aldous Huxley
The other day I was on Instagram and I saw a post with the quote above and it felt so powerful. If you really think about it, this quote is completely true and more applicable today than it was when it was spoken 50 years ago.
You see, Aldous Huxley was a prolific writer who wrote over 50 books. It’s not sure whether or not he actually spoke these words, but they’ve been attributed to him for ages.
When I saw the post, I started thinking about how dramatically my life has changed since I started on the journey of personal and professional development and growth. I make it a point to fill my mind with good things and I focus on making myself better each and every day.
And as I’ve grown, I’ve seen untold differences in my life.
So, listen in to hear my five tips to start on the path of professional development and growth. Make 2022 the year you grow by leaps and bounds.
