In this podcast, I sit down with my friend Sina and together we talk about what our experience was like as postgraduate students at Queen Mary University of London during the pandemic. We discuss how universities were not transparent when it came to blended learning (which we said was mainly online and not blended) and that the government failed not only the students but staff when it came to providing more support or even reduced fees. I can’t believe we are on season two; this podcast was just an idea which started in my bedroom and I never thought that I would be able to speak and connect with people from all over. I am back after some time to talk about a critical issue that needs to be talked about more and who better to do this with than Haleema! Haleema is the first-ever repeat guest at Ambitious Odyssey. If you haven’t checked out our last episode please do as it was extremely compelling to talk to her about a wide range of topics. On episode 11, me and Haleema, who works for the NHS talk about how the government is not doing enough to support NHS staff who are on the frontline of the COVID-19 pandemic. From PPE shortages to having testing in place for staff, the government is lacking in supporting the NHS staff and its' frontline staff. We feel that this matter is of extreme urgency and together we decided to raise awareness and shine some light on the issue.

December 23, 2019 Why Consistency is Key: A Brown Entrepreneurs’ Story
2019 gave birth to this podcast, an 'idea' which I had been holding onto for almost two years. The first episode of this podcast was released on the 22nd of January and what entailed has been nothing short of legendary. This has been one of the greatest years of my life thus far. Through this podcast, I have been able to connect with like-minded people from across the world and share perspectives' that have the potential to add value. In the final episode of season one, I was joined by director, entrepreneur and a fellow creative, Noor.
Noor and I connected through Instagram through our shared love for film, photography and entrepreneurship. In this episode, Noor shared his journey so far about setting up his own business, what it was like to grow up in a poverty-stricken area and the challenges brown creatives face from society and their family.
I sure learnt a tremendous amount from his profound insight and I hope some of you can too.
