On Sunday 2nd August Vanessa and Tim took the opportunity to bring us a Vision Update, particularly about the second congregation that we have starting on Sunday evenings in September.

It's ok to cry out to God.

On Sunday 26th July Roxy shared with us some of what she's learnt from Psalm 22 during the writing of her dissertation, and also weaved in stories from her personal experience.

On Sunday 12th July we had James Spencer from Compassion UK with us. He's an excellent communicator and brought us a message about the kingdom of God as well as sharing about the work of Compassion in the area of Kisumu, Kenya, that we're connected to as a church.

On Sunday 5th July we had Reuben Williams as a guest speaker.

None of us are beyond moments of doubt.

When your faith gets shaken...

- Get around God's people, we were made to be with others.

- Don't mistake God's silence for his absence, just because he isn't speaking doesn't mean he isn't working. He's always doing something.

- Get in God's word, he'll speak to us and prepare us for what we're going to step into.

- Hear God's boast.

Where is your heart orientated?

Daniel lived in Babylon, but he didn't live for Babylon. His heart was orientated towards Jerusalem and God.

On Sunday 28th June we finished our series in Daniel by looking at Daniel in the lion's den. This is one of the most well known Bible stories. However, it isn't just a story for children it has a bite to it 🦁 which has valuable lessons to teach us in 2026. And it turns out Daniel might not be so far removed from where we are now as you might think!

And remember, God can be trusted to rescue us.

As we arrive in Daniel 4 we are starting to see Nebuchadnezzar slowly change.

Have you ever had an experience where one thing is perceived in two different ways? On Sunday 14th June we continued our Daniel series by looking at the writing on the wall (chapter 5). Those words brought doom and gloom for Belshazzar but the all powerful hand of God brings life and hope for us!

How much does your life revolve around God? Are we really more like Nebuchadnezzar than Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego? And how do we keep God central?

On Sunday 7th June, we continued our Daniel series reading chapter 3 and looking specifically at how Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego resisted bowing down to an idol and remained faithful to God in the face of death, and what we can learn from them.

Remaining faithful to God is for our good. Our Heavenly Father never leaves our side. He's with us always and he reigns. He is faithful like no other, and just as he was for Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, he will be for us.

Daniel is about to be crushed and destroyed by a human empire, for no fault of his own! On Sunday 31st May we returned to our series on Daniel and that was the situation we found him in in chapter 2. So what did Daniel do? He prayed. Prayer is the most powerful thing available to us as Christians and we need to do it first, not when we've tried everything else first.
