• AMC Entertainment (AMC) - The company will report quarterly results after market close Thursday. Reminder: AMC CEO Adam Aron, at the beginning of July, tweeted to speak directly to retail investors, saying a "pounce" - an attack on short sellers following a favorable news item - would not happen before the company's next-quarter results.
• Rivian (RIVN) - A play on downside in peer in the consumer electric vehicle space, Lucid (LCID). Lucid reported a quarterly sales miss and lowered its 2022 vehicle production guidance sharply, from about 13,000 vehicles to around 6,500 vehicles. Lucid shares were down about 13% amid the news.
• Mullen Technologies (MULN) - Company CEO, David Michery, will interview on Benzinga's "Stock Market Movers With Money Mitch" YouTube show Thursday afternoon. Tune in to Benzinga's YouTube channel at 1:30 p.m. EDT to see and hear the interview.
• Quoin Pharma (QNRX) - A top-trending ticker on Twitter Thursday morning. Shares closed up more than 300% on Wednesday. The Benzinga newsdesk team did not find news to justify the move in Quoin shares. According to data on Yahoo! Finance, the issue has less than 500,000 shares in its float - a very "low float" stock.
• Beam Therapeutics (BEAM) - A potential sympathy play following a report Wednesday afternoon peer in the gene editing/blood therapeutics space, Global Blood Therapeutics (GBT), could be drawing takeover interest.
