There are 59 days left until the Midterm Election!

Today Matt and Brett will provide a little encouraging news for conservatives, with some polling improving in Iowa and some of the other key Senate races around the country.

They are excited to welcome Kris Ullman, President of the Eagle Forum, to the show and to hear her thoughts on how the Left is mischaracterizing motherhood in light of the Lindsay Clancy case. Brett and Matt will talk about whether the mental health crisis in our country is actually a spiritual crisis and what we should be doing to address it.

Brett and Matt will talk today about how the balance of the U.S. Senate hinges on Texas and a few other key states. Texas has now been moved into the Toss Up category by the Cook Report.

They also dive into an interesting assessment of our geopolitical situation and the conflicts around the world. Are we already in World War III? They talk about a column by Bret Stephens and his theory that a lot of the escalating conflicts we are experiencing today parallel the hotspots and conflicts in the 1930s that led into World War II.

They’ll also say a word about Dolly Parton and the passing of an American icon.

The Florida primary election finally happened on August 18, and Matt and Brett have plenty to talk about, including the surprise win of Angie Nixon for the Democratic nomination for U.S. Senate. Florida’s new Congressional districts are now set with Republican nominees, which can play a significant role as Republicans hope to pick up 2-4 more seats in Florida.

Also in the news this week is the massive debt of the U.S. government, which has now topped $40 trillion! Will it ever come down, and what is the best-case scenario for addressing this looming crisis?

Other items for discussion are U.S. Senate races in Wyoming and Alaska. The Alaska race is particularly meaningful as it could be one of a handful of contests that decides whether Republicans hold the Senate in November.

On the show this week, Brett & Matt are looking at Michigan primary madness, Tennessee primaries, polling, and Democratic Socialism.

In Michigan, Democrat El Sayed eeked out a win against Haley Stevens, and Thomas Smith, who had suspended his campaign after raising less than $2,000, somehow won the Republican nomination against the Trump-endorsed candidate in Congressional District 8.

The Doster brothers also are keen to examine how Democratic Socialism could actually help Republicans in the midterms, as stunts like New York Mayor Mamdani’s grocery stories reveal the insanity of leftist programs.

On the show we’ll also be saying good-bye to our summer intern Calvin who’s been a big help for us in this busy season. Sorry to see him go right before the Florida primary but wish him the best in his next semester.

Today, Brett & Matt have a full roster of political items to discuss on the show. Some big stories this week, including Trump’s White House correspondents’s dinner speech, a possible Hamas deal, Anthony Fauci, and COVID’s suspicious origins.

The brothers are looking to talk about the Senate’s recent hearing going after Fauci for a possible coverup on the origins of the COVID-19 virus; and possible strategies the Republicans could employ to keep the House and Senate. Matt and Brett will also be looking into the new political ethos of using crass speech to garner media attention, as well as how many people seem to be developing ideas of a technological utopianism where anything that can be done ought to be done to try and advance global humanity.

We’re broadcasting from the capital city of the Free State of Florida this week with some controversial topics and stories worthy of discussion.

In honor of International Cousins Month, we’re having two of the Brothers’ cousins in as guests today. Mara Frazier and Rebecca Wise will help Brett & Matt look at some of the biggest American news headlines of the week.

With the Senate midterms right around the corner, the brothers (and cousins) examine the suspension of Graham Platner’s campaign for the Maine Senate seat; the Trump Administration reigniting conflict with Iran; and Israel’s continued role in the Middle East and differing perspectives on it. Together, they will look at how these different developments will impact the midterms in November.

This Friday we’re honoring the founding of our great country and the sacrifices Americans make to defend Life and Liberty. We’ll take a look at the Declaration of Independence and consider America’s future in light of what the Founders wanted for our nation.

We’ll also look at the recent Supreme Court rulings on transgender athletes, birth right citizenship, and late ballots, and what the consequences are for elections.

Matt and Brett comment on the developments of the week, which broke in the favor of Republicans. The Supreme Court ruled in favor of the administration’s authority to enforce immigration law, the situation in Iran seems closer to resolution, and Socialists are taking over the Democratic Party, at least in New York. They also talk to Dr. Bob McClure, head of the James Madison Institute, about the great progress being made in red states like Florida and Texas. They discuss the similarities between socialism on the Left and populism on the Right, and the dangers conservatives should be wary of.

Brett and Matt discuss the midterms and some of the races around the country that shouldn't be close, like the U.S. Senate elections in Texas and Maine. They dive into sports: how did President Trump's UFC fight compare to World Cup matches and do violent riots have to be an inevitability when teams like the New York Knicks win a championship in a big blue city? And the big conversation is with Major Leaguer Britt Reames, who pitched for four Major League Baseball teams and will give some insights into the business of baseball and how it's driving some teams as they push into radical ideology.
