This week American Blasphemy takes a field trip as Brendan and Nick return to the church Brendan used to frequent for a Sunday Service.  We explore the Pentacostal Megachurch experience and talk about our thoughts and feelings about the visit.  

Noah's Ark is one of the most well known stories in the Genesis Chapter of the Bible.  Today we discuss the literal / fundamentalist interpretation vs. the skeptical counter points of the Noah's Ark story.

As Christians turned skeptical, what were we taught about heaven?  What even is heaven?  

What is a cult?  Were either of us in a cult?  

In our second episode we discuss the concept of SIN.  What does it mean? Where did it come from?  How did we experience sin both from Christian and Skeptic perspectives?  Does the idea of sin create lifelong guilt?

Our first episode is an introduction to Brendan and Nick's backgrounds and experiences with faith and skepticism. 

In the future, we'll take much deeper dives into specific religious, theological, and skeptical ideas, writings and concepts.  We have no objectives or motives beyond learning and exploring with open minds. 

Today, we want to share why we are the way we are, and why our religious roots have left us curious.
