There’s this magical small town in Northern Alabama, a two-and-a-half-hour drive south of Nashville, where they say the music is in the mud. And even though many music listeners may not know about the town, they are aware of its impact on American Music through the iconic songs they’ve heard on the radio. Songs like “When a Man Loves a Woman” by Percy Sledge, “Respect” by Aretha Franklin, and “Wild Horses” by The Rolling Stones are just a few of the big hits that have been churned out because of the creative energy captivated in the town of Muscle Shoals.
Today's interviews include:
Brain Corrigan - historic music preservation consultant and expert in Muscle Shoals
Rodney Hall - owner of FAME studios and son of Rick Hall, founder of FAME.
Hannah Aldridge - Americana Singer-Songwriter and daughter of Walt Aldridge, Nashville Songwriter Hall of Fame Songwriter, Musician, Engineer, and Record Producer who worked closely with Rick Hall from Muscle Shoals
