Finally, a law enforcement officer has been charged with shooting an unarmed black man for whom he had some initial contact prior to this shooting. You could clearly hear the dispatcher ask did he have a gun with and his response was no. He was on the phone with the dispatcher when he was shot by the deputy.

Who are going to police the police for wrongdoing. They seem to be bias when left to police themselves. Will there ever be equal justice. So far no.

Do white officers fear black men. Is that is why they get killed twice the rate of whites. Is there an all out war against blacks in America. One killing after another in the streets of America. When will it stop and those responsible be held accountable. Is the George Floyd killing the first of many more to come is the question.

There are cases where police have used excessive force and were terminated or resigned. This not sufficient enough they need to be charged as well. The average citizen would be charged with assault if they did the same to law enforcement. Why allow them to resign and get another job in the same state if they meet all state requirements for law officers.

There is bias in policing towards people of color. They are talked to, treated differently regardless of the offense. Blacks and other people of color are more likely to be stopped, arrested, jailed and convicted than whites in American. How can 13% of the black population account for 46% of those incarcerated. Interesting but true and it does not seem like it is changing no time soon.

These cases fuel the debate about police reform. Lying cops abused their power to defend the constitution and the state and local laws for which they are empowered to preserve. A few bad apples make it worst for the whole are honest and trying to do their jobs correctly

The police and the criminal justice system is on trial with the ongoing George Floyd trial. Where there be justice or will it be just another sign that white supremacy is showing us who still is in charge. The outcome will determine either the same thing people of color already know that our system of justice is not for us and the police have the authority to kill at random. Will the police get another pass in the George Floyd trial.
