Jeff Valdez is pioneer in media who has worked relentlessly to create opportunities for Latinos in mainstream media. He actively changed the face of TV as co-founder and Executive Producer of Sí TV, which was a Latino-themed cable network where Valdez developed English-language TV content for Latino audiences that appealed to both Latinos and non-Latinos. What Jeff Valdez has been doing for TV, our host Tito Caballero has been doing for radio throughout his career, creating content and a space for the Latinx community. We hope you enjoy the chat between these two media pioneers who are both passionate about Latino representation in mainstream media. As we kick off Hispanic Heritage Month in South Texas, and with the Jeff Valdez's HA Comedy Festival bringing some of the biggest Latino names in entertainment to South Texas, it's only fitting for our first feature to spotlight Jeff's story, which is deeply rooted in San Antonio. Listen to this podcast and discover how Jeff's ties to San Antonio go back 20 years, before anyone knew his roster of talent like George Lopez, Carlos Mencia, Gabriel Iglesias, and more.
