The APT boys break down the 3 team trade between the Padres, Mets and Pirates. The Padres add more talent to the rotation with the addition of Joe Musgrove. This trade takes them one step closer to catching the Dodgers. The Mets get their final rotation starter in Joey Lucchesi. They get 4 years of control and bought low on a lefty with plenty of upside. The Pirates get 5 guys in return that will boost the farm system and continue their rebuild. Overall the trade seems to work for all 3 teams with what they planned to achieve this offseason. The Red Sox bring back Martin Perez for 1 year $4.5 million, $5 million guaranteed, and an option for 22' worth $6million. The Nationals are close to acquiring lefty Jon Lester. Lester is a solid 5th starter that gives the Nationals a needed depth piece.
