In this episode, I share with you how to make sure your long distance friendships stay strong. I share a little more of myself since I live far from my childhood friends. Our annual reunion is a good way to reconnect. We all ensure we do things throughout the year to stay present in each other's life. I highly recommend you pick up the phone and make that call or send that text. There should be no judgment, no competition, just honest, real friends keeping connected.

In this episode I talk about different things I am really grateful for in the year. Please tune in and see the different things that I feel proud of from being a guest on Charro Azteca, to attending conferences and joining a mastermind group to support fellow women also pursuing their goals and dreams through the different journeys.
So, as we are closing out the year, I share with you personal lessons, I have learned, especially in the last few days of the year with lots of travel. Listen to this episode as you picture the Home Alone scenes of the family running through airports and losing their son Kevin. Fortunately, I did not lose my sons but we all chuckled as we understood that Home Alone movie didn’t seem so unrealistic any longer. The good news we did make it to our destination, but it was with lots of creativeness and flexibility. The timing of things in our life sometimes don’t make sense, but then we understand why we encounter them. I had just read Marie Forleo’s book, Everything is Figureoutable and thanks to that I was able to figure out how to navigate the different problems we encountered. I knew my goal was to make it to our destination, and we succeeded.

So now you are on a new journey where your child is going to start preschool or elementary school, but you are unsure of what this means. Well, it means enrollment time and this usually starts in the month of January. Listen to this episode as I give ideas on how to make the process less intimidating and making sure you are prepared for all the paperwork needed to complete. If you think well it’s only preschool, this is even more reason to ensure you go right away and enroll, spaces are limited and spots fill up quickly. Maybe you are thinking my kids are beyond this well, then share this episode with a friend who might just be starting this journey.

In this episode, I discuss Christmas traditions with family and friends. Family isn't always just blood relatives, sometimes friends are your family. This is important for your children to see modeled. In addition, I share with you that my household traditions have become a mixture of childhood experiences and new memories I am creating with my boys and husband. I am eager to hear about your traditions. Have you started a tradition, that came from a random event, place or something you read or heard about? Share on instagram with others your own stories of your traditions.
In this episode I share with you ways to teach our children about mindfulness and gratitude, and I explore some personal experiences where I have been able to use them as a teaching opportunity. It is not necessary to make many changes but one small change a day can have a huge impact on others. A good rule of thumb can be; Did you do something to help another person smile? Our children are small but they see our behaviors and our habits therefore, if we create positive ones we are impacting our community and ensuring we are leaving it better than we found it.

This episode also gives you gentle reminders that you must take care of your needs, before you can meet other people's needs. So listen in for this quick episode and share some strategies or activities you are using this week with your children to possibly be featured in the next episode.
This week, I will talk about my own experience building my own alter, and understanding that sometimes traditions happen throughout the year. The traditions do not only occur during the holiday season, but sometimes the holiday season does make some of our traditions more popular. I share about my own son, building his alter for a school assignment and how he immediately thought of honoring his great grandmother. Think about what traditions you have and want to make sure you pass on to your children or younger generations. What are you doing to document those down? Your stories and traditions are important and definitely worth sharing with others. Leave your comment about traditions you may have.
In this episode, I continue to share about more speakers after attending Influencer 2019. It was so inspiring, motivational and it definitely, helped me refocus on my own goals I have. This conference was so empowering, I truly believe everyone should attend. This will help you learn from those that have achieved their goal, but it gives you tools, so you create rather than just compare yourself to someone's story. The Professional Speakers I talk about in this episode include Brendon Burchard, Anthony Trucks, Jamie Kern Lima and Eric Thomas. I truly believe if you are feeling like you need a little push these names will become your mentors. Remember a mentor doesn't have to be in the same room as you.
