A Word from the Way --- Amos

As the Northern Kingdom barrels toward its destruction at the hands of the Assyrians, the prophet Amos has a lot to say about how culture had devolved. External idols joined the supposed worship of God. The divide between the rich and the poor was immense. Ambition had turned inward towards selfishness, not outwards towards community. Sound familiar? This isn't an easy book to read and hope is hard to find. But it isn't absent.
