There’s no greater feeling than having momentum on your side. Trading becomes instinctive rather than mental. You can seemingly do no wrong. But riding the crest of momentum can lead to an inflated level of self confidence, especially when your wins ride more on luck than skill. Low probability, tail driven wins are typically captured when you’re on a good run and it’s during this peak mania phase of profitability that the most fatal errors are made.

The ebb and flow nature of trading means dry runs are inevitable. But this doesn’t mean a good run has to end abruptly. It doesn’t mean you have to undo all your hard work in 1 bad session. In this episode, me and Pez discuss how to handle momentum by slowing it down rather than losing it altogether.

I hope the new year has treated you well so far. In this episode, me & Pez breakdown the ‘systems’ or ‘habits’ that we plan to adhere to for 2025. Setting goals is over rated. The mere utterance of what you ‘hope’ to achieve is just a dream. A meaningless announcement that holds no weight.

But if you decide upon what tangible actions or habits that you plan on sticking to for a sustained period, the goals take care of themselves.

In this episode, we touch on a few habits or means of action that we plan on sticking to. I did most of what was mentioned to an extent in 2024 but this year, we’re locking in fully and will be touching base frequently to hold each other accountable!

I’m re-joined by Pez as we review a very successful week of trading. We locked in hefty green books on all 3 test matches and made numerous good trades in the Big bash. Whilst a hectic schedule throws up bountiful opportunities, being able to manage your time spent in the market by being selective is crucial to making a profit.

You only have so much energy. You only have so many good decisions you’re capable of making. In this episode we discuss how we’re able to build and maintain momentum, ignore the noise and pour or focus into carefully selected windows of opportunity, time and time again.
