Truth be told. I love Darryl McDaniels. And I have always loved RUN DMC.
I have known DMC coming up on 20 years and he is the most interesting, engaging, passionate yet humble guest.
Do you hear some "background noise"? Well, that's because we caught up at Catfight Coffee - a rock and roll (and horror) themed coffee house in Boonton New Jersey that has not only great coffee, but a magic vibe.
Darryl and I hiphop deep dive to the glory days of rap in NYC, how RUN DMC were the pioneers of rock and rap merging long before their Aerosmith collaboration, we discuss his demons, his reinvention, his inspirations AND new music and future plans. Darryl is the greatest storyteller and I'm honored to have spent some time with this rock and roll hall of fame and living legend on Carr Stereo.
