Sl: V megleni jesenski Ljubljani se je trg Centralni tržnici zbal vsako jutro s svežim vrvežom.
En: In the foggy autumn Ljubljana, the square at the Centralni tržnici would fill every morning with fresh hustle and bustle.

Sl: Anže, mlad kuhar, je bil že zgodaj pokonci.
En: Anže, a young chef, was already up early.

Sl: Trudil se je, da bi našel popolne sestavine za praznik sv. Andreja.
En: He was trying to find the perfect ingredients for the feast of St. Andreja.

Sl: Na tržnici je bilo vse polno šarenja: stojnice z zelenjavo, s sadjem, z dišečimi začimbami in sveže spečenimi dobrotami.
En: The market was full of colors: stalls with vegetables, fruits, fragrant spices, and freshly baked treats.

Sl: Anže se je počutil malo zmeden.
En: Anže felt a bit overwhelmed.

Sl: Medtem ko je hodil med stojnicami, je opazil Niko, dekle s toplim nasmehom.
En: As he walked among the stalls, he noticed Nika, a girl with a warm smile.

Sl: Bila je hči lokalnega kmeta in ponosna na ekološke pridelke svoje družine.

Sl: Nika se je nasmehnila in mu ponudila vzorec starodavne sorte rdeče pese, ki so jo pridelali na njenem kmetiji.
En: Nika smiled and offered him a sample of an ancient variety of beetroot, grown on her farm.

Sl: "Poskusi to. Ima izjemen okus. Naša družina uporablja to peso v starih receptih."
En: "Try this. It has an extraordinary taste. Our family uses this beetroot in old recipes."

Sl: Anže je vzel košček in bil navdušen.
