Sometimes a Bible verse or Bible principle is quoted by people in the world, and yet the ones who quote it completely misunderstand and misapply it. One such verse is found in chapter 24 of Leviticus: “an eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth.” The worlds sees this as a justification for vengeance.
