Reverend Richard Coles is a former musician, radio broadcaster, and now Church of England priest who was formally a member of the band - The Communards, who had hits in the 1980s with 'Never Can Say Goodbye' and the biggest-selling single of 1986, 'Don’t Leave Me This Way'.
In the early 1990s, Richard found his faith and his life was transformed when he transitioned from a former pop star to a vicar. Later in life, as a personality with a strong social following, he remained in the public eye through the positive and tragic times of his life, including the tragic loss of his partner David Oldham.
