On this episode, we interviewed our special guest Kosisochukwu Stanley, a young immigrant student from Nigeria. He shared the hurdles he went through to obtain his F1 student visa after two previous denials in Lagos consulate. He narrates his experience transitioning from life in Nigeria to graduate school life in the US, his academic struggles, the lessons he learned and the wise advice he got from his research advisor/professor that helped him. He talked about how the style of teaching and learning in the US differs from the style in Nigeria and what prospective international students should keep in mind while planning school in the US. His greatest achievement is his independence and ability to contribute and give back to his family. Kosisochukwu's story is very endearing and relatable and remind us that with persistent, determination and Faith in God, we can do anything and achieve our dreams.
