Chairman of the Board of the UN Association of Dane County Sam Romano and recently elected Board Member Becca Schwartz came into the WORT studio to talk about UNA activities here.

United Nations Association (UNA) members are dedicated to educating, inspiring and mobilizing Americans to support the principles and vital work of the United Nations and its agencies. Their nationwide network is committed to strengthening the United Nations system, promoting constructive United States leadership in that system and achieving the goals of the UN Charter.

We have had a chapter of the UNA here in Dane county since the late 1940s. The local group provides community education about the state of our world and critical issues before the United Nations. Members act to positively influence our national legislature and often join with the wider community in supporting peace and justice for all citizens of our world.
