I chatted to my friend Jeanine Anderson who survived a very difficult childhood in the Southside of Chicago and went on to a very successful career as a lawyer. She shares the reality of growing up poor and in raised in the presence of addiction. She talks about turning anger into motivation and what she feels society's responsibility is in tacking racism and inequality. It's a harrowing tale of a brutally difficult childhood and the effort required to overcome adversity.
