Get ready for a two part series. This episode and the next will be with Larissa Marks. Larissa is a spiritual director and formation coach, and loves being a companion with people in their faith journey. She lives on the island of Oahu in Hawaii with her husband, Steve, and their four kids.

I first asked Larissa to record an episode with me about spiritual direction, which we do talk about in the next episode. But in this conversation, we get to know Larissa’s story, as a Chinese-American woman growing up in Hawaii. She has such a unique experience that has shaped the lens that she sees the world through.
