Rachel Wong (黃曉曦) is a podcaster, writer and speaker living in Vancouver, Canada. She is a first generation Chinese-Canadian. Though she was raised as a Catholic, she experienced a radical encounter with Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament when she was 20 years old. Ever since then, she was set ablaze in her conviction to share the love of God and speak to her own testimony of how God saved her life. She now speaks and writes on the feminine genius, the intersection of faith and mental health, race and representation in the Church and beyond, and her personal faith journey.
Rachel is the host of The Feminine Genius Podcast, which is inspired by Pope St. John Paul II and his writings on women. Her hope with the podcast is to celebrate the diversity of the Catholic Church, one woman's story at a time. She is also the co-host of A Pondering Heart Podcast, which dives into different issues facing Catholics and pondering them like Mary.
Rachel holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Communication and International Studies from Simon Fraser University, and has experience working in the areas of tech, radio broadcast, journalism, marketing & communications and parish ministry.

Theresa Yang is a former elementary classroom teacher and school librarian. After co-founding Graphic Campus with her sister, Theresa has become a full-time literacy advocate. Inspired by her graphic novelist husband and her four creative children, she is passionate about supporting teachers and students in the art of storytelling.
Rosa Lee is a former elementary school teacher, a Writing Workshop coach, and co-founder of Graphic Campus. She loves to discover and explore new children's books, coffee flavors and jogging routes.
Theresa and Rosa are also sisters who are Korean-American and Catholic and they have 8 children between the 2 of them ranging from freshman in college to kindergarten. They have taught me almost everything I know in the Catholic mom department.
I wanted to learn from them about how to teach kids to pray and that’s where our conversation started. But here’s the thing, everything they shared actually gave me ideas of ways to grow in my own faith life too. So, get ready for some inspiration in both your kids’ prayer life and your own.

Tracey Gee is a leadership coach and consultant who is passionate about working with vision-driven leaders especially women of color. She has over 20 years of experience in ministry designing training experiences and resources. She is certified in three frameworks - Gallup StrengthsFinder, Cultural Intelligence, and the Enneagram as tools to help leaders grow in self-awareness, development, and healthy teams. She is also a published author of a book by and for Asian American women called “More Than Serving Tea.” She studied Socio-cultural Anthropology and Business at UCLA and has her Masters in Leadership from Fuller. Originally from the Bay Area of California, Tracey now lives in Los Angeles with her husband, two boys, and dog. When she is not training the creative leaders that the world needs, she tries not to kill her plants, loves watching baseball in both youth form and as a Dodger fan, and likes to take advantage of the amazing food options in LA.
I had so much I wanted to chat with Trace about. In this episode, we dig into the journey of finding her voice and how her Chinese heritage influenced this. One of my favorite roles with our church has been as a lector, which means "one who reads" in Latin, and it involves getting to read one of the Sunday mass readings. I thought it would be fun to bring this to the podcast in a series called "Lectio," or "reading."
Every Sunday mass, there are three readings: Old Testament, epistles and the gospel. I'll be syncing up Lectio episodes this season with the first Sunday of the month’s mass reading, so the week before mass you can be ruminating on one of the passages to come.
For this Lectio, we will be looking at the first reading, Exodus 16:2-4, 12-15.

Michael Stalcup is a bi-racial Thai-American missionary and poet. Born and raised in Southern California, he now lives in Bangkok, Thailand with his wife and three children. His poetry has been published in several magazines, including Commonweal Magazine, First Things, and Sojourners. He also co-leads (with Chanté Griffin) a workshop called Spirit & Scribe about the intersection of spiritual formation and writing craft.

For this Lectio, I’m going to do something I haven’t done before. I’m going to read and unpack the responsorial psalm. I’ve been wanting to do this for a while because I think there’s so much there that adds to the whole liturgy of the Word.
For this Sunday’s mass, the responsorial psalm comes from Psalm 123.
Correction: The first reading that I allude to is from the book of Ezekiel, not Ezra.
