Michelle Hammer, @schizophrenic.nyc, is a Schizophrenia activist and the creator and founder of the company Schizophrenic.NYC. Michelle was diagnosed with Schizophrenia at 22, after a misdiagnosis of Bipolar Disorder at age 18. Michelle's company mission is to reduce stigma by starting conversations about mental health.

Michelle and Sarah discuss common symptoms, misconceptions surrounding a schizophrenia diagnosis, sex and medications, and Michelle shares her thoughts on schizophrenia-related semantics and language choices.
