I cried. I wept. I LOVED this fairytale! Prepare to be swept away in this achingly heartbreaking tale of a little ancient tree who found her voice very late in long life. Let's emote with a tree!
Tonight's tale is one of late-blooming. Of singing, sadness, and sorrow all in the body of one tree from the beginning of the world. It's also a heartbreakingly beautiful love story, between the North Wind and the Littlest Tree. One that spans centuries, and songs and lifetimes. This tale, from the Green Forest Fairy Book: "The Little Tree that Never Grew Up," is read in a soft voice and set to some light and soft background music.
