THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS IN OUR FAMILY
I really enjoyed this story about two older people, both widowed, and starting a new relationship. Jo Flannigan has been widowed for eight years and not only misses Henry, but also his touch, and his discipline. He was her best friend, lover, husband and the father of their children. Kent Harrison was 35-years-old to his late wife, Sarahâs 21-years. They had one son who is only twelve that Kent has raised since Sarahâs death to cancer when Noah was only three. Sarah had initiated a domestic discipline request into their marriage that Kent agreed to. How will he find another woman in this modern age world that will also agree to a domestic discipline lifestyle? He knows that he would never be happy without it, will Jo be the woman for him when she learns how he is the Head of the household?
The plot of the story is a sweet romance with two middle-aged adults, both who loved and lost their mates and both who believe in a domestic discipline lifestyle. How two people get along in good times can be much different than when there is a personal crisis. Jo and Kent are confronted with a crisis and face it head on together. I loved the interaction between the characters, their open and honest dialog and relationship. âHow boring is perfect? I like a little mess and spice in my life. How about you?â
Romantic older couple
What a treat to read about a mature couple! And a sweet romance at that! Megan McCoy's heroine in this, Jo, is widowed and misses having a man who loves her and takes her in hand. Loved the hero, who was married to a younger woman but now wants a relationship with a vibrant and attractive lady closer to his own age. Enjoyed this read!
Good book
It was a well written book, however I thought it could have been longer, more avenues to be explored, but overall an enjoyable that leaves you wanting more !
Boring
Pretty dull and predictable
High hopes dashed
For the life of me I can't express how dismally disappointed I was in this book. The premise was so unique and could have have been a standout book-it was a total failure. The storyline was incomplete the characters undeveloped and it touched on every stereo typical image of an insecure older woman- domestic discipline was breezed over - I'm glad I read it because now I know what I've read before was so far superior than this.
