  • Is Eagle Pass An Invasion? A Look At Both Sides Of The Border!

After seeing all of the hoopla in the news about the so-called invasion, I to see for myself if it was an invasion or a Welcome Mat.

I briefly visited the US side and then promptly spent the night and most of the next day in Piedras Negras to get both sides of the story.
Clearly, there are exaggerations in the media, not only insofar as the numbers but also the culprits.
This was eye-opening and refreshing to see the sincerity the Mexican people extend to the Migrants passing through their country.

  • Tumin 13 Yrs Of Indigenous Resistance From The Bank Of Mexico

This is a story I am proud to tell and be a part of. Tumin is a local Mexican currency paired to the pesos in value but is far more valuable in principle.

Tumin started as a social experiment at a University in Espinal Veracruz. After some success in the confines of the University, it escaped into the city of Espinal.
This drew attention to the bank of Mexico, who then sued the leaders of Tumin, claiming it was a counterfeit pesos.
The Tumin leaders' diligence in researching the Constitution of Mexico was very fruitful when they found their shield in Article 2 of the Constitution.
Article 2 provided indigenous protections, which have stood to this day.
This is an amazing story and an amazing group of people I'm proud to know.

  • Border Encounter On My Ride To Veracruz From Austin

On my way to Papantla Veracruz to take part in the Tumin Expo, I sought out and found the Reynosa Migrant Encampment.

I stopped in to talk with a few of the residents waiting for permission to enter the United States. The people I encountered had walked from as far away as Venezuela.
After four months of walking thousands of miles, they sit and wait for another three months to gain permission to enter.
These people are definitely desperate for a better life to have walked that far.
Please stay tuned and check out the next video. To find out what actually happens in Papantla.

  • Hundreds Of Migrants Encountered On The Road Through Chiapas, Mexico

In this episode, I start out from Chichen Itza and work my way to San Cristobal De Las Casas in Chiapas, Mexico, before continuing on to Acapulco and finally Austin, Texas.

On this journey, I encounter the Palenque, Archaeological zone, Santa Maria, a wonderful little mountain village, San Cristobal De Las Casas, and finally, albeit very unexpectedly I encounter about 300 migrants making their way to Texas from South America on foot. It was surreal for me. I had already passed the majority of these people before I realized I was passing a migrant group in procession.

  • Chichen Itza, Pyramids, Cenotes & Scammers

We spent 4 days exploring Chichen Itza and the surrounding areas, taking in the Pyramids, Cenotes, and much more.

While we talk a lot about the scams in the Yucatan, don't let that deter you from experiencing the beauty of the Yucatan.
To the contrary, you should not miss it.
Just be vigilant and put a little research into your trip and avoid fast talking pushy salesmen. Generally, always go to the source and bypass the middle men.
