For this final project, I plan on creating a podcast to address the inequality of
Masculinity/Men and Femininity/Women and addressing intersectionality. The
podcast will be educational and informative about the inequalities and the
toxic characteristics society puts on both men and women and what it means to
be masculine and feminine in society as well. I plan on giving a few examples
from my culture such as machismo and marianismo that show harmful and unequal characteristics
for both genders. I would like to tie intersectionality with this topic, but I
am currently unsure if I will be able to. Intersectionality might be its own
little topic in the podcast. For intersectionality, I will be executing it in a
similar way. I will give an example from my personal life and how I experience
intersectionality. I will also focus on explaining why it is important to
address intersectionality when speaking about feminism and what it means for
the movement. My goal for this podcast is to try to educate about the different
ways femininity and masculinity are viewed and how these norms put into place are
harmful for us in society. The goal is also to educate on intersectionality
since it seems like the term is still relatively not known for most people.
