World War 2 games from the late 90s to 2010 put a heavy focus on campaigns. They were historically accurate to a point, education, and most of all….depicted the seriousness of war. These weren’t fantasy war games. But the game that takes the cake for all of this is…Call of Duty: World at War. The developers went all in on making this game not only authentic in terms of WW2, they made sure they nailed the brutality, the intensity, and the blood and gore that real soldiers saw on the battlefield. In this video, we will look back at one of the most authentic World War 2 games of all time.

There’s one thing the Star Wars franchise has been consistently good at for years now is someone saying something or something happening that fires up the fan base and stirs up drama. That happened again recently when audio from an old podcast surfaced. Back in 2019, the director for the upcoming Star Wars show, The Acolyte, Leslye Headland, was interviewed on the Indie Wire podcast. She talked about a few things, but what stood out especially amongst Star Wars fans was her discussing the misogynist side of the auteur theory and she used George Lucas and Star Wars as an example of it. I'll give my thoughts on Leslye's opinion, but I also want to pay homage to George Lucas for what he has done for the franchise and the film industry in general.

The Jedi Survivor sequel was good enough. The gameplay was fun and the story was solid. I don’t really agree with the plot twist near the end of the story and the performance issues really ticked me off at times. But the story was interesting and the game was fun. The developers truly built upon the foundation of the first game and that is what is needed for a successful sequel.

Ubisoft showed off two new games that I am extremely hyped for. Star Wars: Outlaws is Ubisoft's take on an open-world game in the Star Wars Universe. They also showed off gameplay for Assassin's Creed Mirage. This game also looks good. The developers are bringing the series back to it's roots, so it will feel like an old school AC game. I think it’s a good idea for Ubisoft to try their hands at a new product like Outlaws all while keeping up with one of the most popular and successful franchises.

Bethesda's 45 minutes presentation of Starfield at the Xbox Showcase was amazing. The hype for this game is even bigger as we saw more gameplay and learned more about the many elements of this ambitious game. This game has the potential to be the best game of this generation if it isn't a buggy mess and fulfills on its promises. I really hope it does.

Xbox just had its 2023 game showcase and it was a banger. This event was a huge win for the company which has been struggling to keep up with its competitors. Xbox showed off a ton of new games and they were able to show off some games coming from other companies such as Ubisoft and CD Projekt Red. It does not happen often, but for the first time in a long time, Xbox beat out Sony.

Pirates of the Carribean is my 2nd favorite movie franchise. It's just behind Star Wars. I grew up with this franchise and it's just as good as Star Wars. Pirates has great writing, casting, humor, action, and CGI. Let's go back and check out these great movies.

The Star Wars fandom is back in the spotlight after a recent interview done by Tony Gilroy, the director of Rogue One and Andor. Many people think Tony went after the fans, but he did not. He gave fair and reasonable answers in regards to what he's noticed with the fanbase over the years. I have disagreed on some of his remarks in the past, but this interview gives me no issues and I think some people are trying to spin this in a negative way. Let's take a look at his interview and I'll give my thoughts on both his quotes and what I see going on within the fanbase.

Days Gone director Jeff Ross is still thinking about the sequel game he wanted to make. The sequel was never green lit and Jeff is no longer with Bend Studio. Days Gone is a zombie game that features good story telling and some unique gameplay. However, it also contains many of the common open-world pitfalls that make it feel like an average game. Jeff has mentioned some ideas of what he would add to the second game in past interviews. So, let's go back and revisit Days Gone. Let's also look at what Jeff has said.

It's not often PlayStation fans get mad at Sony. Some PlayStation fans were disappointed with last month's showcase. Many felt like it was disappointing or lackluster. There were some cool announcements and reveals, but there was not a lot of eye popping stuff. More tech was announced too. I thought the conference was alright.
